标题[创作] Prelude to the Stars

I sit in front of the library,
on the warmth of the stone pier,
bedazzled, as the vainglorious sun
musters its last and dives
into the skyline, dragging with it
the wispy shape of a pirate ship.
The glow slowly fades,
and ugly erected urban monstrosities turn,
escorted by fiery lighting,
into monoliths: somber, sagacious guardians of modernity.
I feel unrippled;
I feel ensconced;
and while mosquitoes feast on my little toe,
not once do I think of you.
