Let's get our lies straight──
We're happy 'cause we have sinned
We enjoy more when we're guilty
We feel lonely 'cause double passes are cheap
We say please, thanks, and sorry
Sometimes we mean damn, damn it, god damn it
(I said sometimes)
We love mistaking love or
We love making mistakes
The kind of mistakes others can't see
We're afraid that there might be one day
That they'd become us and
We'd become them and
And we don't even know it
