It is first day in high school Sky blazes bright blue and wind breezes cool The air is excited by clamour full In a class flooded with fresh laughter Sits a boy lowering head in a cold corner Then comes Teacher, demanding "Now let's come up one by one introducing!" Quite normal time when they introduce Changes－the boy stands up facing all the pews Being pale and trembling; others jeer and abuse "What are you－Sissy?" Suddenly, explosion of laughter blows so wildly Humiliation on his face rises so redly While they continue to tease Until Teacher commands a Peace In following days they never cease to jeer At him about being Queer Much ridicule is on his Rear Life in school is thus a fear Isolation bars him away from every peer...... He's a boy born normally as everyone on Terra Under his lowering head hides a handsome mimosa If smiles－though rarely－it blooms beautifully Undoubtedly as healthy as any boy who stands to pee Such Normality is smeared by the words "Sissy!" "Faggot!" "Pervert!" "Deviant!" "Bugger!" Which on him they cruelly plaster Even Teacher insists he be cured mentally Commanding him to student counseling, which be Ridiculousness－he's there taught about Normality! He then tries out a security－ To face everyone with a manly mask By which he thinks people will no longer ask But he's wrong－for never is disguise an easy task In others' eyes he's still Grotesque The mimosa on his face is forced to fade No more tear can his eyes lade Nor can his sorrow be ever paid His innocence is all betrayed At length, a decision is made...... The time is now the end of the semester The place－funeral parlor In it all students sadly gather To moan for a boy－who used to sit in the corner Everyone repents－none can alter P.S. 美国的青少年同志自杀潮激发我创作了这首诗 --
