Act one presents a quarrel in the streets, a tussle – thankfully, no one is hurt. From this, we see reciprocated there the hatred that defines the two great clans and brings about the doom that is to come. Act two: out struts the suitor Paris, one who wants, and almost gets dear Juliet, against her will. Such is the case back then of marriage rites and marriage politics. During her family’s resplendent ball, she sets her sights, and lips, on our main man – on Romeo, sworn enemy in blood.
