When the sun arises in the middle of the sky The earth turned all flamboyant The stars turn yellow, calling, ancient rivers in the vein so passionately echoing flowing deeper and deeper transcending to current stream of vision A world so broad and sublime as the ancient rivers sending embracement to the mighty ocean In the great time of the universe The tide is coming in calling the power of mother earth The national banner becomes visible from ages of darkness aiming higher, and higher never rests it's longing for freedom Even under the dawn glow I saw gleaming winds of gold, purple, crimson glorifying the ancient yellow river Steady but moderate- The time has changed The twilight becomes The green island of wonder faded out through cross strait ocean Steely mirror of the stream reflecting the sun Along the ocean, besides the river -Formosa the beautiful In the dusk The great leader of vision, reached out his gentle hands, hoeing, muds turn golden, turn salted, turn sweet bittered The seperation and union of time which history can never reject I saw the eclipse of a new moon As ancient as the yellow river -- 莫听穿林打叶声，何妨吟啸且徐行。 竹杖芒鞋轻胜马，谁怕?一蓑烟雨任平生。 料峭春寒吹酒醒，微冷，山头斜照却相迎。 回首向来萧瑟处，归去，也无风雨也无晴。 --
