标题[创作] True Love

She knows not what my love feels like
for true love with her I do not feel,
or do I? Must true love make the heart
beat fast, beat faster, adrenaline
coursing through the blood in fear of
pissing her off, breaking the spell
that has somehow fallen over us?
You plant the seed of doubt in me:
I love not, only care, you say,
and your words sound right, they always do,
yet in the next line I feel weight:
Just keep her happy, that is enough.
So when she thanks me for being there,
for meeting her, for laughs and thought;
I wonder, in deepest of dark hearts:
Are we just that, just laughs and thought,
outburst of joy, electric charge?
Is that it? Oh, I want much more!
But know she cannot bear it in
her current state of bleeding soul.
And change a thing I would not do!
Better I meet the mate of soul
than mate of heart, but lacking, though,
in faculties of perception
of emotion and intellect.
We are but one, one soul, one mind;
the heart, I know, will come in time.
