标题[请益] Robert Frost的Reluctance
时间Fri Mar 20 20:29:36 2009
Out through the fields and the woods
And over the walls I have wended;
I have climbed the hills of view
And looked at the world, and descended;
I have come by the high way home,
And lo, it is ended.
The leaves are all dead on the ground,
Save those that the oak is keeping
To ravel them one by one
And let them go scraping and creeping
Out over the crusted snow,
when others are sleeping.
And the dead leaves lie huddled and still,
No longer blown hither and thither;
The last lone aster is gone;
The flowers of witch-hazel wither;
The heart is still aching to seek,
But the feet question 'Whither?'
Ah, when to the heart of man
Was it ever less than a treason
To go with the drift of things,
To yield with a grace to reason,
And bow and accept the end
Of a love or a season?
这是收录在他"A Boy's Will"里的一首
以前在课本读过他的"The Road Not Taken"很喜欢
最近为了申请入学的甄试又找了几首来读
这是我最喜欢的一首
觉得他的结尾写得很美
但是我一直读不懂为什麽诗题是Reluctance?
全诗的意境好像是在哀惋一段感情的结束
所以是不甘愿的离开吗??.....
另外是诗中的aster(紫菀)和witch-hazel(金缕梅酊剂)
请问有什麽涵义或象徵吗?
feet question这个词我则是不如如何解释
