描述老奶奶可爱但是令人感伤的一些层面.
我们
也终将老去.

Lovely, benign, old grandmom
Utters words like a loose shotgun
Having shed the sharpness of grammar:
"Ye know wat I sayin', dun' ye?”
This is what she says or --- neighs;
That is the background music she plays.
Lovely, benign, old grandmom
Walks slowly and talks painstakingly,
Just like another toddling baby.
Yet Life is no longer young to her
(shabby as the multi-patched wedding gown
Unwilling to be torn down);
And yet Death is no more Greek to her
(faithful as an old, black dog
Always be around).
Lonely, benign, old grandmom's been
Awaiting the looming tick-and-tuck
Of the clock and the very moment to truck:
Those glassy shoes, golden memories,
And silver Cinderella-fantasies --- though
The horses have been coarse and
The Prince has no more been charming,
Yet he shall never be departing but staying
This one more time for ever more.
