标题[创作] To a Girl on Sitka

Time and time I turn to grasp
What I left behind, a glimpse gone by:
A sheet of rainbow that melts a drop of ice
Containing glaciers of the bluest sky.
Necklace of gems cannot whisper your delight,
I regret the day not to seek your reply.
Voiceless, so I may write,
Smooth as dew beyond the drifting mist,
With polished words, no treachery within,
Reflecting warmth in which I cannot resist,
Silent yet sweet,
So what pureness be free, if I may twist,
As chisel upon chilling stone,
While fingers work better than ramming fist,
A humble workshop
As though it might not exist,
If only I would indulge
In what my imagination insist,
So before a ring of frost
Becomes a chain on my wrist,
Waving not for your answer, but only for memories
That might occupy your list.
And still I'll try to grasp,
Though time leaves not, my will behind.
Infinite and beyond is not of my fate,
But what I keep in mind,
At least, imagination of daylight
Delicately refined.
