※ 引述《euler3002 (无)》之铭言： : 以下这首诗我看不太懂，this one 指的是舍麽，为什麽要cried no no no， : 整首诗要表达什麽？不太明白 以下是这首诗 : Counting the Mad : Donald Justice : This one was put in a jacket, 此句的jacket应该是指精神病患穿的束衣，话说有个电影叫 the jacket好像就在讲精神病患(?)或什麽的:P : This one was sent home, 可能是只有个精神病患痊癒了，可以回家 : This one was given bread and meat : But would eat none, 这个人明显是个疯子：因为他被给予食物但他拒绝进食 : And this one cried No No No No : All day long. stanza 2也有一模一样的这段话，但有趣的是不同於任何其他lines， 我们并不知道这个"this one"(我假设每个stanza最後两句的and "this one cried no no no no"者都是同一人，因为作者刻意挑选一样的句型彷佛 是在强调他在描写一个特定的individual)为何是个疯子，因为大喊 no也可能是正常人会做的事呀。 作者铺的这个梗可以在stanza 3获得解答。 : This one looked at the window : As though it were a wall, 这个人也是个疯子，因为呆滞的望着窗外，彷佛在看着一面墙壁似的。 : This one saw things that were not there, 这个人也是个疯子，因为看到幻觉、不存在的东西。 : And this one cried No No No No : All day long. 又回到这个迷样的"this one"，我们并不知道他为何疯了，或是为何一直 呼喊no no no no。 : This one thought himself a bird, 这个人是个疯子：因为他以为自己是小鸟 : This one a dog, 这个人是个疯子：因为他以为自己是条狗 : And this one thought himself a man, : An ordinary man, : And cried and cried No No No No : All day long. 仔细看最後两句，Justice刻意打破之前的规律，并写到"and cried and cried no no no no," 而非说"and this one cried no no no no"，所以 我们可以猜测"and this one thought himself a man, an ordinary man" 之人便是一直呐喊着no no no no之人。 不知道现在回这篇会不会太晚，而且我文字表达如果有不够清楚的地方 还麻烦多包涵或提问。 Counting the Mad似乎是指在「数疯子」，给我的感觉像是个omiscient narrator站在一旁数看看有几个疯子。很明显的，这篇poem之中最特别的 角色便是那个认为自己是个ordinary man并且大喊no no no no者，为了 方便起见，之後都称这个主角为"A" 老实说刚念完我有一些臆测： 1. A在是个疯子因为他认为自己是个"ordinary man"，平凡人这个想法 对A而言是个可怕的东西，所以他发疯了，每天喊着no no no no，不愿意 接受自己是个平凡人的看法。如果是从这个conclusion来看，那或许作者 是想表达「平凡是个可怕的东西」，会让人丧失自我。不免俗的吹股了一 下individualism的概念。这个是我觉得比较合逻辑的想法。 2. A是个正常人但被困在一个疯人院里，虽然自己认为自己正常但却因为 别人不认同，所以出不去，最後也真的因此而发疯了。但如果真是如此， 那一开始当他还是一个真正的ordinary man时，他就该理性的去表达自己 并非疯子，但也许「疯」这种东西本来就很难判断，毕竟有些看似「疯」 的举动(如美国人看中国人吃狗肉?)可能在另一些人的眼中是稀松平常的 事。不过我还是觉得"1"比较合理，因为如果是二的话，作者大可用normal man或sane man，但他却挑了"ordinary" man来用，感觉上是想强调「一般性」 跟「平凡性」。 还请众高手和喜好诗词的大家一起来讨论捏！:) --
