标题[创作] A Scent

A Scent
I clearly sense…
Though dim, yet not unseen
The lighthouse afar, blinking
Through bashing rain a protecting screen
Lured to safety a heart to seek
What well-lighted place, tables wiped clean,
Sipping a flow of gold, right now still a dream…
Captain in slumber, yet senses still keen,
Dizzy in swoon with straight-forward instinct,
A puny rabbit now trapped deep between
Coming close to what dark and fatigue…
Spilling warm and comfort, the generous queen,
But shielding not what toils beneath
The constant pumping of a steaming machine.
