Menu Foods forced dogs and cats to ingest toxic and lethal food in its laboratories before announcing a massive recall of 60 million cans and pouches of companion animal food from stores nationwide almost a full month after the initial illnesses were reported. During this critical month, hundreds, if not thousands, of people's animal companions may have been at risk of being sickened and may even have died." 上面是说，早在２月２０号的时候， menu food公司就已经知道饲料有问题了， 他们便悄悄地开始测试，是在自己的实验室里测试。 那些动物们被迫吃下有毒，被污染的饲料， menu food拖了整整一个月， 在知情的情况下，在知道有很多动物可能因此生病或致命的情况下， 他们还是拖了整整一个月才开始回收， 而且还是在第一起宠物死亡报告之後才做回收。 "PETA is calling on law enforcement agencies to investigate whether cruelty-to-animals charges should be filed against Menu Foods in the U.S. and Canada, for alleged failure to warn consumers about the tainted food as soon as the company had the information and for apparently feeding the tainted food to cats and dogs in order to test it, when the contaminant could have been identified through chemical analyses of the food and necropsies and tissue analysis of the animal victims."
