Abdominal pain associated with pancreatitis is severe and generally requires
narcotic analgesia. Meperidine historically has been used in pancreatitis and
biliary disease. Although morphine may increase the tone of the sphincter of
Oddi, there is no evidence to show that it worsens the disease process in
pancreatitis.[49] In fact, most narcotics may affect the function of the
sphincter of Oddi, but none have been more problematic than the others. One
can consider starting with 4 to 10 mg of morphine or 25 to 50 mg of
meperidine (Demerol) and titrating the dose as needed for pain.

Tintinalli, Harrison 好像都没有提到必须用Demerol千万不可以用Morphine
