Sent: 18.52 - mon 29 dec 2003 hi everyone i am back in taiwan now, after a couple weeks of break in america... did you all have a happy christmas? the past couple weeks have been very up and down for me, and i know you all have been curious about what has been going on with me, so let me fill everyone in... i went back to houston, going through LA to see my sister and some friends, which was very nice, but after only 2 or 3 days back in america, i got sick! it seems rather unlucky, but my sister told me that previously there was a cold/flu bug going around, so i guess that was what i had, and my mom had it too, although i think hers wasn't as serious as mine... i was sick for about 1 week with fever, body aches, fatigue, sneezing, coughing, runny nose... not very fun. then just as my fever was starting to go away, i was stuck with coughing so i couldn't sleep at night, and my dad got sick too, so our family christmas was spent sitting on the couch at home, watching dvds and drinking tea and hot chocolate, and sniffling and blowing our noses until everyone had red, peeling noses. so then after a couple more days, and everyone was feeling a little better, we had a bunch of dinners and lunches to attend with my parent's friends, and meeting with my classmates and friends, some of whom i haven't seen for years... and then it's already time to get ready to go back to taiwan! on the plane, however, i had some interesting things happen to me as well! i had to wake up early to get on the plane from houston to LA, and wait at the LA airport for a couple hours, and then get on the plane going from LA to taipei. on the plane to taipei, i had dinner, and then i was going to go to sleep, but i woke up after 1 hour, bc i was feeling really u ncomfortable... and then... i threw up all over myself, something i haven't done since maybe elementary school! =( i stood up, in an attempt to clean up, and only succeeded in spilling my drink onto and INto my shoes. =( then the lavatories were all full, so i had to sit there, with feelings of wanting to vomit, smelling like vomit, and wait for a vacant lavatory. i spent the rest of the plane trip fighting stomach discomfort and throwing up. =( then when i arrived in taiwan, i called peggy, who was coming to pick me up, and warned her first that i was yucky and not feeling well (bc i was worried about throwing up on her car.) then i'm waiting for my luggage, and i can't even stand up straight, so i sit on my baggage cart, waiting for the luggage, which took quite a while coming out, or maybe it was just bc i wasn't feeling well, so it felt like a really long amount of time before i saw my luggage come out. then as i am stumbling towards the exit, a girl calls out my name and asks if she can have a photo with me, and i felt really bad, bc our company usually doesn't really let us take photos with fans, and also bc i felt physically awful, and i am sure i smelled like vomit. =( so... that has been what has been happening to me the past 2 weeks! haha, i know it sounds horrendous, but it wasn't THAT bad... at least i got to see my family and some of my friends, especially to see my little sister, and my friends from school, and i also saw 小刀 while i was in the US; i think he is slowly starting to recover, although it seems like even now, he still has a busy schedule. so altogether, i think i am still happy to have gotten a little break, and to spend some time with my family and get to see some of my friends, and also very happy to come back and see my good friends come to pick me up at the airport, (even though i was feeling ill) and to hear that they missed me while i was gone! ^-^ ok i think i should say 报告完毕! is that right? haha... most of all, i hope you all had a merry christmas, and i hope to see you all over new year's!
