1. A set of M equally likely signals is defined by , where is a
known deterministic signal and the are amplitudes that are used to
distinguish the different signals (and, hence, carry information). The
allowed amplitudes are the members of the set
{ -(M-1)d, -(M-3)d, . . . , -3d, -d, d, 3d, . . . , (M-3)d, (M-1)d }.
For example, if , the amplitudes are {-7d, -5d, -3d, -d, d 3d 5d 7d }. This
scheme is called Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM).
Draw the diagram of an optimum receiver using only one correlator (or one
matched filter). Include the demodulator part and the detector part. Start
with the optimum receiver structure at the end of lecture 1 for the specific
signals used in this problem, and then show that it can be implemented using
only one correlator.
2.In M-Ary phase modulation, a set of M equally likely signals is defined on
the interval 0=<t=<T by Sm(t)=Acos{Wot+(2pi/M)m} m=0,1,2,....,M-1
where Wo is a known carrier frequency, and the index,m, determines the phases
that are used to distinguish the different signals (and, hence, carry
information).
Draw the diagram of an optimum receiver using only two correlators (or two
matched filters). Include the demodulator part and the detector part.
Hint: cos{Wot+(2pi/M)m}=cos{(2pi/M)m}﹡cos{Wot}-sin{(2pi/M)m}﹡sin{Wot}
show that it can be implemented using only two correlators.
请教版上各位大大,作题目遇到这两题不会,请问要怎样作呢谢谢~
