2025年听音乐会最大的感想,
就是传奇钢琴家Artur Schnabel这段话说得真是太好了。
感谢大师如此承认,
让我醒悟,听音乐会(要获得满意)靠的是机缘,不用刻意去追求(听很多音乐会)。
就算是「大师」,你也不用人云亦云地去做无谓的崇拜,自己内心的感受才是最真实的。

When I played the thirty-two Beethoven sonatas in London, there was a very old g
entleman, a great music lover and ama-teur. He had heard me play once before and
he bought six of seven tickets, all subscription tickets, for the whole series.
Before the concerts, he invited his friends, played and explained the sonatas to
them; then he came with them to my concerts.
And from concert to concert he became more and more dis-appointed and disillusio
ned about my playing. He was near despair. So, after the fifth concert, he wrote
a fourteen-page letter to me a moving letter, really-in which he said that if h
e had known how I played the sonatas he would certainly not have bought those ti
ckets. He practically asked me to return the money to him.
Then he went on, singling out to-tain places, writing for instance, Why did you
hurry in this measure? A man with your technique!' and blaming me for many other
details which were not according to his expecta-tions, until he reached the con
clusion: 'If you go on like this, you should stop playing Beethoven altogether.
So I sat down and answered the old man. There was not a trace of irony in my let
ter. I assured him, for example, that he overrated my technical abilities: if I
hurried, it was simply a defect of my technique; I did not want to hurry, regret
ted it just as much as he. But then I also wrote, in the course of this letter,
that to buy a ticket is no insurance of happiness. The performer only promises t
o try his best, but he cannot promise to please the listener.

若我显得急促,那只是技巧上的缺陷;我并不想如此,我和他一样感到遗憾。但我也在信中
写道,买票并不是幸福的保证。演奏者只能承诺尽力而为,却无法保证能让每一位听众满意
。
