看到Prestoclassical的消息：
The Czech conductor Jiri Belohlavek has died aged 71 following a lengthy illn
ess. Particularly renowned for his interpretations of music from his homeland,
his extensive discography includes a much-praised Dvorak series with the Czec
h Philharmonic Orchestra on Decca (indeed their searing Stabat mater was our D
isc of the Week only last month), a multi-award-winning disc of Suk's orchestr
al works on Chandos, and an outstanding K嫢a Kabanovfrom Glyndebourne in 201
1.
As well as his long-term relationship with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, h
e founded the Prague Philharmonia and held positions with the Rotterdam Philha
rmonic Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra (becoming the first non-native Eng
lish speaker to conduct the the Last Night of the Proms in 2007).
His death was announced by the Czech Philharmonic earlier this morning.
