Yes, I agree with you on the most part.
But the main point is that
"What is the best bidding sequence to show your hands ?"
The best contract is 3NT, 6D, or 5D and
I think you may agree that almost we should bid 3NT at least, and
I don't think you would lose slam no matter what you open.
