标题[新闻] 卡纳瓦罗宣布世界盃自後国家队退休

Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro has confirmed he will retire from the
international scene after the World Cup.
Cannavaro, who made his debut in 1997, is ready to call time on his
career with the Azzurri.
"At the end of the World Cup I will say goodbye and thank you. I will
miss the Nazionale climate though," the record caps holder told Chi
magazine.
"There is some melancholy for my last Azzurri adventure as I have been
wearing this shirt for 13 years, but there are many magical nights
that I will always take with me."
The defender has been criticised of late following his poor season
at Juventus, but he is ready to prove the doubters wrong again.
"They say that I am finished, but I remember when I was young, people
said I was too small to be a footballer," he continued.
"It was a tough season with Juventus, but I understand that if I
win the Ballon D'Or then it will be because of the group, but if
we lose then it's Cannavaro's fault."
