Job Description:
Responsibility
1.Will lead a software team in
a.developing telecom products in embedded system with highest quality
deliverables.
b.solve field and DVT issues quickly
c.Work with HW team on design review, board bring up, troubleshoot HW related
issues, hw testing assistance
2.With strong technical skills to mentor and provide guidance to the team
3.Project management: prioritize tasks, resource planning. Able to resolve
conflicts cross-functionally and find solutions for risk mitigations to meet
committed milestones.
4.Thoroughly review the details of project deliverables. If required, will
perform engineering works (e.g. software design, coding, testing, review)
5.Clearly communicating status and issues to engineering teams, conducting
technical documentation review/discussions , remote issue troubleshooting
with support engineers, over phone or video conference in different
geographic locations.
Qualifications
Required
1.Able to communicate in English fluently, in oral speaking as well as
technical writing.
2.Able to chair technical discussion over the phone or video conference with
teams in various geographic locations.
3.Able to travel US frequently based on project needs.
4. Strong leadership and able to mentor junior engineer
5. Strong C programming skills with at least 5+ yrs experience.
6. 5+ yrs experience in embedded system development
7. 5+ yrs experience on using telecom/datacom testing equipments, such as
T-Berd, IXIA, AdTech, Smartbits, OmniBER, … and so on.
8. 5+ yrs in Software Configuration Management (such as ClearCase, CVS, SVN),
bug tracking system( such as ClearQuest, BugZilla), and software development
processes with the SCM/Bug tracking tools.
9.Must have strong practice and principle in software engineering, and
software quality assurance.
10.At least 2+ yrs experience in :
a. leading software team with development of datacom/telcom products, and
b. participating projects in all cycles, from initiation, design,
implementation, testing, and field support, and
c. involved with hardware development, such as hardware design review, board
bring up, and HW issue troubleshooting, and
d. work with Design Verification Team to solve any issues reported, in timely
manner, and
e. Project resource planning, schedule tracking, risk mitigation
Desired
1. 3+ yrs experience in ClearCase and ClearQuest
2. Understand NPI (New Product Introduction) and manufacturing processes
3. 2+ yrs experience in network processor development (microcode and control
plane on host processor ), such Agere, and Wintegra NP.
4.2+ yrs exp. in T1 product
5.2+ yrs exp. in PSTN voice related projects (such as GR-303, TR-57, GR-08,
H.248, SIP)
6.Familiar with Microsoft Project
