It's nearly impossible at the current Taiwanese salary to start a family in your 20s. I am pushing 40 now. I can't even consider it, like, buying property somewhere in Taipei, hopefully in a decent school district. That's completely out of the question if I stay here and earn a Taiwanese salary.
