"I regret that I will not be able to continue competing in China after so many great experiences during my first visit to the mainland. I was looking forward to competing in Guangzhou, but I have been advised by medical professionals to rest my knee in an effort to allow it to fully heal. For this reason, I have also been required to withdraw from the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix (Filderstadt). I regret that I will miss both of these events and am appreciative to both tournament organizers for the kind hospitality that they have extended. I look forward to being full-recovered and back on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour in the very near future." --
