I started my day with three hours of training starting out at nine am. I worked on tons of forehands and backhands. I am really working on my technique. I want to have the same stroke every time to perfection. This takes a lot of work! I also worked on my volleys and approach shots. I did not hit too many serves or returns today. I did not go to the gym to do cardio or weights, I was just too tired! Plus I have done cardio for two days in a row now and I guess that it is ok if I take a break for a day. Also my right hamstring is a bit sore, so it was best that I give it a little break. I was really hungry after practice today, probably because I never eat breakfast. Not eating breakfast is a really bad habit for me, but I am never hungry in the mornings and if I am hungry I can never stomach the food anyway. I am just not a morning eater… My lunch is a hummus wrap with celery, lettuce and pickles. I also like to have a nonfat yogurt milkshake because it holds me over until dinner. At two I did an interview with WXYZ the ABC affiliate in Detroit. We talked all about the Williams Sisters Tour and my family in the Detroit area. I can’t wait to catch up with all of my fans in Detroit! After the interview I made my agent miss his flight because I talked his ear off about all the things that I would not do and how I don’t like anyone telling me what to do. Seriously though, we had a discussion about my upcoming schedule, my commitments, all the stuff that you talk about with agents. If you don’t know what agents and their athletes talk about see the movie Jerry McGuire or my personal favorite Juwanna Man. After he was off to the airport I headed over to the mall to pick up a few things that I had on hold. In the mall I am always ducking and dodging people calling me or trying to stop me to have a conversation. Needles to say I got out of there quick. Now I am at home, writing to you.
