The Cancer Prevention and Control Program of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (PI: Wang) at Georgetown University (Washington, DC) is seeking applications for a one-year post-doctoral fellow. Position is primarily research (100%). The fellowship prepares trainees to assume academically-oriented research positions in interdisciplinary oncology, including conducting clinical and behavioral research. Research tasks include data analysis and manuscript and grant preparation, as well as clinical support for ongoing and upcoming research projects. Candidates with superior clinical, conceptual, organizational, and analytical skills are sought; those with track records of research productivity and demonstration of quantitative and qualitative acumen will receive priority. Candidates with interests in minority and immigrant health, behavioral medicine/health psychology, substance use/addiction, patient care and medical communication, and intervention trials are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have completed a research-oriented doctoral training program (PhD, DrPH, ScD, or equivalent) in the behavioral, social, or public health sciences with less than five years postdoctoral experience at time of appointment. Experience/training in psycho-oncology, culture and health disparities, and mixed-method research and intervention design are desirable.
