We encourage youths to apply what they learn and to share their liveware with more people who are needed. Going to the remote areas, volunteers of Creative Knowledge Network mainly serve the aboriginal students and those who need the special teaching material and tutoring. Through video-conference courses in each semester and the face-to-face service in every summer/ winter vacation, volunteers will learn how to design, to write down, and even to teach their own lesson plans of different subjects, like languages, ICT skills, and so on. In this way, we hope that the knowledge/ digital divide, which often resulted from the imbalanced distribution of resources, can be bridged by these passionate and sincere volunteers. Volunteers! Let’s go to Ilan! 　　 　　From this year, volunteers of Creative Knowledge Network will go to Geng-Fang Elementary School in Geng Fang, Ilan. Geng Fang is the place where most residents are engaged in fishery business. It is truly difficult for the parents to spend more time with their children—two third of the students in Geng-Fang Elementary School come from the single-parent family or even are brought up by their grandparents. What else? Translating can be a way to volunteer! From 2004, volunteers of TWYN (Tutor Within Youth Neighborhood) Project have devoted themselves in indigenous tribes—Taiwu and ChingYeh in Ping-Tong County (south part of Taiwan), appreciating the culture, versatility, and hospitality of indigenous people. With our cordiality, we would like to share our experiences and stories with more people around the world. In the way of book-publishing and website constructing, translating all of the information into the English version becomes our primary concerns.
