Okur says that he doesn't plan to retire
Jazz center Mehmet Okur said that he never felt right. Not during his
multiple comeback attempts this year. Not while battling recurring
back pain, the latent effects of offseason left Achilles tendon
surgery or shrugging off a freak right ankle injury. Too many
setbacks, too much downtime.
背痛、左脚Achilles腱手术、右脚踝伤势....太多的伤病，断断续续的上场时间
让爵士中锋Mehmet Okur有些沮丧，他称自己从来没感觉身体舒服过。
"I kept trying day in and day out. It didn't work out," said Okur,
prior to Utah's 121-117 overtime home defeat to the New Orleans
Hornets on Thursday. "And I'm one of those guys who really don't like
to sit. And this year really didn't go well for me. Everything's
downhill for me. ... I tried everything and we tried everything —
everybody did a great job. It just didn't work out."
「每天我都在不停地尝试，但没有成功。」Okur在今天爵士与黄蜂比赛开始前说
道：「而我是那种在场下坐不住的人，今年对我来说不是很顺利，所有事情都在
走下坡路....我一直在努力尝试，球队也一直在尝试——所有人都做得很好。只
是没能成功。」
"It wasn't really a good thing about coming back early," said Okur,
who made his season debut Dec. 17, 2010, but sprained his right ankle
just three days later during pregame warmups.
这是Okur在3月16日宣布赛季报销以来第一次接受媒体采访，他承认上一次受伤後
复出时间过早影响到伤势。去年4月，Okur跟腱受伤，直到12月17日才完成本赛季
首度上场，但是仅仅3天後，他就在热身过程中扭伤了右脚踝。
"But I wasn't thinking right because I was hungry and I just wanted to
be on the floor and play. If you go back 11 months ago, I wouldn't
have done the same thing. I would've wait to get 100 percent, then I
could play."
「复出太早真的不是一件好事。」Okur说：「但是我当时想错了，因为我很想复
出，我只想上场打球。如果再回到11个月前，我不会再做出同样的选择，我一定
会等自己100%康复後再选择复出。」
Okur, 31, averaged career lows in points (4.9), rebounds (2.3) and
minutes (12.9) this season, playing in just 13 games.
31岁的Okur本赛季仅仅上场打了13场比赛，每场得分、篮板以及上场时间都是职
业生涯新低，分别是4.9分2.3篮板以及12.9分钟的上场时间。
Okur has not considered retiring. "I've got a few more years I can
give my best," Okur said. "At least until 35, 36, and kind of go from
there."
尽管情况并不顺利，但是Okur并没有打算退役。「至少要打到35、36岁，然後再
看情况。」Okur说。
