This helps explain why Kelan Martin and Jacob Evans were called up. Nowell had
been in the 11th man role, on the fringe of the rotation.

Layman, who missed the last 39 games while recovering from a sprained left toe
, underwent evaluations by multiple foot specialists. Following the assessment
s, Layman was given clearance to begin practicing.
News: Minnesota Timberwolves Assign Jacob Evans III, Omari Spellman and Jarred
Vanderbilt to G League Affiliate Iowa Wolves.
Also, Kelan Martin will be joining the Iowa Wolves.
