Especially when that rookie is something of a mystery man like Rubio,
who delayed his NBA debut by two years while he continued to
play professionally in Spain and now has arrived to all sorts of fanfare.
"I wouldn't say [it's] a rivalry," Jennings said after Tuesday's game.
"He has way more hype that I did when I first came in.
If it wasn't for scoring 55 [in a game his rookie season],
I don't think people would know who I really was.
"He's a rookie and everyone's excited when the rookies come in.
He's going to be good, though. He sees the floor well and he can make plays."
