Chuck Hayes, a favorite of new Wolves coach Rick Adelman when they were
together in Houston, is on the Wolves' radar. They spoke with his agent,
Calvin Andrews, last Thursday, which was the first day teams could reach out
to agents. Hayes is the sort of tough-minded, grind-it-out player the Wolves
so desperately need. In Adelman's offense, he often played the "5" and thus
could be on the floor plenty with a combination of Kevin Love, Michael Beasley,
Derrick Williams and Anthony Randolph.

Monday was the first day the Wolves could talk to free agents, and they planned
on doing so with 30-year-old shooting guard Jamal Crawford. A strong case can
be made that a 3-point threat who can also handle the ball is the Wolves'
biggest need. Crawford, while limited defensively, can do a lot offensively.
His agent, Andy Miller, when asked if the Wolves were a serious contender for
his client, said, "Yes." He added that Crawford "believes they are a young,
up-and-coming team with good pieces and a great coach."
Jamal Crawford spent much of last season frustrated that Atlanta Hawks
officials weren't more eager to offer an extension and make him part of their
future. He's feeling the love now, though. A source close to the
12-year veteran guard said he was contacted on Monday by Indiana, Atlanta,
New Jersey, Minnesota, Phoenix, Chicago, and Orlando. The Bulls and Magic are
believed to be interested in signing Crawford via sign-and-trade, as they are
over the salary cap and would only be able to offer the midlevel exception
(a four-year deal starting at $5 million). When asked on Sunday who was
leading the pack for Crawford's services, the source named, in order,
New Orleans, Phoenix, Chicago, Atlanta, New Jersey, and Indianapolis.
能带给大量3分威胁又能掌控球权的Crawford真的非常符合球队的建队需要，虽然防守
不是他在行的项目，不过他强势的攻击能力实在无法让人轻忽，灰狼队也认真地想吸收
到阵容当中，Crawford自己也表示这只球队非常的有活力也正在提升当中，他们也拥有
好的棋子与超棒的教练。
Crawford与Indiana, Atlanta、New Jersey、Minnesota、Phoenix、Chicago和Orlando
都有接触，可能在包裹中保有优势的球队有New Orleans、Phoenix、Chicago
、Atlanta、New Jersey与Indiana。
