Jonny Flynn Makes D-League Debut

Jonny Flynn, the sixth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, made his NBA
Development League debut Friday after being assigned by the Minnesota
Timberwolves earlier in the week.
09年第六顺位的Flynn在米国时间礼拜五首次在发展联盟出赛。
Looking to get in game-shape after rehabilitating since July following hip
surgery, Flynn had planned to play about 30-35 minutes for the Timberwolves'
affiliate, Sioux Falls Skyforce, though ended up with just over 24 minutes in
a 113-103 loss to the Iowa Energy.
在臀部复原後为了让他找回比赛的感觉，礼拜五他原本计画上场30到35分钟，结果他打了

Flynn did take advantage of the time he was in the game, however, by
contributing a team-high nine assists to go with eight points and two steals,
though the 6-foot-point guard did turn the ball over six times. Skyforce
teammate and fellow NBA player Dexter Pittman, on assignment from the Miami
Heat, meshed a bit better as he had 18 points and 15 boards in over 41
minutes of playing time, though also turned the ball over six times.

For the Energy, former Oklahoma City Thunder guard Kyle Weaver paved the way
to victory by scoring 30 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing eight
assists. Curtis Stinson, Flynn's point guard counterpart, had 16 points, 11
assists and six steals while Iowa's NBA-assignee, the Phoenix Suns' Gani
Lawal, scored 13 pointed and added eight rebounds.

Flynn, who got the starting nod in his first game in Sioux Falls, started the
game off by trying a nifty behind-the-back pass to get into the rhythm,
though it was picked off by Stinson to give Flynn his first turnover of the
night. Flynn would run the offense for the next six minutes of the game for
the Skyforce before taking a five minute break on the bench due to a decision
made prior to his assignment that called for him playing in six-to-eight
minute increments.

Flynn wouldn't take his first shot until the second quarter, an in-rhythm
three-pointer from the top of the key that gave him his first points of the
game. Flynn tried to do it again on the following possession, though was off
the mark and seemed to decide to turn to more of a distributing role for the
duration of the game.

Flynn's nine assists showed that his time away from basketball didn't deter
his court vision, particularly on a couple of nice alley-oop passes, but it
never seemed that he went full bore on a drive to the rim, something that he
probably should have tested if indeed this was just a one-game rehab
assignment.
Flynn的9次助攻说明了这段没有打球的日子，并不影响他在场上的视野，特别是几次的

If Flynn does decide he wants to test his hip out in the D-League again,
which might not be a bad idea as he suffered from minor cramping that didn't
allow him to return to action late in the game according to the Argus
Leader's Terry Vandrovec, the Skyforce will host the Eric Musselman-led Reno
Bighorns Saturday night and won't be on the road until New Year's Eve.
如果Flynn决定再打一场发展联盟比赛测试，不会是个坏主意，因为他在礼拜五的比赛中

Even if Flynn decides that one game was enough, however, the fact that he was
willing to do a rehab stint in an NBA Development League game could pay
longterm dividends for the D-League.
就算Flynn觉得过水一场就够了，事实是他愿意接受在发展联盟比赛受限制的参赛，以利
他的复健，这对发展联盟的长期发展和Flynn来说都是双赢的。
