Nicholson is a well rounded offensive player with many different skills and he should be able to step right into the NBA game and have good production. Nicholson has a well developed post game that allows him to be effective against both bigger and smaller opponents. Andrew has good strength on the block, good footwork, an array of counter moves, establishes good post position, has good body control, and can shoot the jump hook with either hand. Nicholson is also adept at facing up slower footed defenders and going by them, or shooting the jumper over an outstretched arm. Range is also a plus for Nicholson; he can consistently hit jumpers out to 20 feet , and he's a capable 3 point shooter(43% 23 of 53) but it's not a huge part of his game. Nicholson can move well without the ball and be productive in pick and roll or pick and pop plays, but he needs to set better screens. Lastly, Andrew is a capable passer out of double teams, and can expose cross court or blind side help. Andrew is a good defender and rebounder, and he's aided by a 7'3" wingspan. He hustles and recovers well on pick and roll or ball swings, and has good timing on shot block attempts. Nicholson gets good rebounding position and boxes out well; he also does a good job of reading and anticipating the ball carom's off the rim. He's probably going to have some trouble defending bigger front court players in the post at first, but he's already got pretty good strength and his frame looks like it can add muscle without sacrificing quickness. Most early draft projections say Nicholson should come off the board somewhere in the late first round.
