Which state you want to go?
Every state has different requirements for foreign trained PT.
CA is probably the most difficult one.
You will need to do a credential evaluation process through an angency
(Ex. FCCPT) to see how many extra classes you need to meet the license requirement
(this requirement is different from state to state)
For the DPT, are you talking about entry level or transtional?
entry level is for people who do not have a PT degree (in the US there
is no bachelor degree fot PT anymore, so people graduate in US university w/ bachelor
degree will not have a PT degree)
that is what become tricky for foreign trained people like us, some entry level
program will not accept students like us, also entry level DPT will be similiar to what you have learned in TW
the other DPT is called transitional DPT which is basically for PTs who have graduated
earlier with only BA or master degree but would like to get their doctorate degree
However, some of these program require you to have a US license to enroll, also
a lot of them are on line based which means that they are not able to issue you an I20
MS programs are usually research oriented and may or may not help you to meet your
license requirement
Anyways, if your main goal is to be a PT in the US, your first step is
to run credential evaluation to see how many extra courses (and also which courses) you need
