It won Grammys for Record and Song of the Year, Best Country Song and Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group. 2. Taylor Swift "Love Story"(2008) 4,962,000. This is the best-selling country hit by a female solo artist. Swift's 2009 hit topped the country chart for two weeks and reached #4 on the pop chart. The elegant, Romeo And Juliet-themed video won a CMA Award for Music Video of the Year. 3. Taylor Swift "You Belong With Me"(2009) 3,682,000. Swift's 2009 song, the follow-up to "Love Story," topped the country chart for two weeks and reached #2 on the pop chart. The smash received Grammy nominations for Record and Song of the Year. The story of an unrequited high school crush is universal. The happy ending in the video is heartwarming. 4. Carrie Underwood "Before He Cheats"(2006) 3,191,000. Taylor Swift "Teardrops On My Guitar"(2007) 2,585,000. Swift's 2007 hit reached #2 on the country chart and #13 on the Hot 100. She would revisit the theme of an unrequited teen crush on "You Belong With Me." 8. Rascal Flatts "Life Is A Highway"(2006) 2,557,000. This song, from the animated movie Cars, is the best-selling country hit that was recorded for a movie.
