Mr Hsu, 28, was following the bus on Danjin Road at around 9:00am July 15 when the bus signaled and stopped at a bus stop. Mr Hsu, who was not wearing a full-face helmet slammed into the back of the bus. The impact knocked Mr Hsu’s helmet off his head and left him with multiple abrasions to his face. Hsu immediately began to curse the driver at the scene of the accident, and threatened to sue him. However, when police accessed video monitors from the bus they found that Hsu had been using his phone and was not paying attention at the time of the accident. Hsu made an appearance in court yesterday, July 21. Hsu was found to have had his driver’s license revoked due to unpaid traffic fines. He was fined a total of NT$9000 for driving without a license and using his phone while driving. --
