Duke Ellington Composition Techniques: A survey and discussion of examples
using transcribed scores and recordings illustrating some of the techniques
of America's greatest composer
主讲人：Andrew W. Jaffe（安祖．杰夫）
CURRENT EMPLOYMENT (since 1989)（现职）:
*Director of the Jazz Program at Williams College, Williamstown, MA.
（Williamstown, MA. Williams学院爵士音乐系主任）
(Titles:
Lyell B. Clay Artist-in-Residence in Jazz and Director of Jazz Activities.;
Senior Lecturer in Music;
Artistic Director, Williamstown Jazz Festival *)
Duties include:
Ensemble Direction (both Big Band and small ensembles) ;
Jazz Applied Faculty Recruitment and Coordination;
Mentoring new faculty;
Student Advising;
Management of Jazz Ensembles and Jazz Festival budgets (and associated
grantwriting);

Jazz Theory/Improvisation; Jazz Arranging/Composition; Jazz Eartraining;
Music of Ellington, Music of Coltrane
