I can't read Chinese, so it's impossible for me to know what is acceptable or not in any forum. If you'll read my article again, you'll notice I'm not only looking for 'girlfriend wanted'. However, consider this. I'm a really tall guy looking to be friends (or more) with a tall girl. That sounds like exactly like the sort of situation that should be broadly acceptable for a forum called 'tall club'. In fact, internationally, that's the main reason why 'tall clubs' exist - because tall people find it so difficult to find a partner! You say that in your opinion: 'it's ok to make a girlfriend by being friends through this forum, but not ok to look for a girlfriend' I respect your opinion. But would it be better to be a liar, do you think? For me, it's great for people to be honest about the types of friendships they hope to make. Why tell lies, or be fake? This is an interesting problem in Taiwan. Here, it seems that love is in some way 'disgusting' and shouldn't be mentioned. So many people lie and pretend they want a 'research opportunity' or 'language practice' or some other reason. I noticed that on dating and friendship websites. It's such a shame. Besides, I'm not only looking for a girlfriend, I'm also looking for friends; please see my comment above or look again at what I wrote. For example, have you ever tried formal dancing, with a girl 40cm shorter than you? It's not much fun. You spend most of your time staring into a big empty space where you expect a face to be. And they spend their time staring at your stomach. And your steps are 50% bigger than theirs, so you end up falling over, or they have to run around you all the time. It's not much fun. Try it some time. It's not really the kind of thing you can do with another tall guy. But I guess most people here don't really do formal social dancing. Another example; walking down the street. I walk about 50% faster than most people because of my big legs. Even going for a nice walk with a short friend can become a big pain (for both of us). So tall friends would be nice. I hope you can see this isn't just a 'I want a date' request. I'm also genuinely interested in making friends, too, though I'd prefer female friends, since I have several tall male friends already, and it's good to have a mixture of friends.
