标题[讨论] 翻译请教:"最旁边的xx"

"最旁边的xx" 生活上常会讲到
例如:
"最旁边的那一位请举手"
"我喜欢最旁边的那幅画"
这边想到几个词
1.The marginal one → marginal好像比较常用在抽象的东西上
2.用side形容词最高级: The most side one → 丢估狗好像没有在这麽说的
当然我可以用指定左右的leftmost / rightmost
但如果没有特定指左右，单纯想表达"最旁边"，英文要如何对应?
