标题[讨论] 假设语气的解释

题目在此
She cried so hard as if it were the end of the world.
此句後面的were 要怎麽解释 因为前面动词是过去式cried 理因来说小朋友们都认为应该
要用had been the end of the world 而
不是过去式 were the end of the world
以及下面这一句
The fortune-teller looked at me as if he were able to read my mind.
这一句也是假设语气但前後时态却一样
虽然语感上知道後面要用were able to
不过小朋友们还是觉得前面过去 後面应该要过去完成 had been able
请问一下这种情况要怎麽解释 呜呜
