标题[题目] 这样造句可以吗？

杂志要我用以下两个词造句
我试着造句，请教有哪里需要修改或不通顺的地方。
1.house 做动词
This box houses a gift I will give my gf for a proposal.
2.of the time 造句
我感觉用的时机是在前面有提到过去的事，後面才可以用 of the time?
Although I don't have enough money to buy a fancy gift for my girl, I have the affection to her like the acient romantic poet of the time.
