whoever 除了可视为 anybody who 之外
还可当作 the person who
所以你问得这句
Whoever did the inventory forgot to subtract the items that arrived
damaged and were never put into the stockroom.
可以译为
盘点存货的人忘了减去运抵即损坏的以及没放在储藏室的物品
所以forgot 的主词是 the person
另外 在我的"单字600"书中
arrived 与 damaged 两个字中间并没有 and
所以原PO是否再确定一下
