since後的独立子句动词使用过去简单式
简单的说since的中文翻译为因为如何如何，所以如何如何
是在描述过去的事情，自然使用过去简单式
而even though在语意上是不通顺的

for用在时间上通常指一段时间
而这句arrive的介系词通常使用in or within表一个时间内
若单纯就字面上翻译，用for会变成
"shipment"从进港到完全停下来耗时一个礼拜
故选(a)不选(b)
