标题[题目] 困惑我很久的一题

这是一题文法改错
The company's mission statement was written by the president over

thirty years ago, but is still very pertaining to today's business world.

B.was written
C.but
D.pertaining(正解)
为什麽是pertaining呢?
我查过字典，事物当主词时，pertain是用主动用法，前面又有be动词"is"，
那用pertaining应该是没错吧?
我在想这题到底是不是答案错哩?
