In their diel vertical migration, zooplankton swim up near the surface of the water during the night and swim down to deeper water during the day. Depending on the species and region, this can be a round trip of between one hundred and four hundred meters. For a tiny microscopic organism, that’s a huge distance! Remember now, zooplankton can’t swim very well, and DVM requires a lot of energy, so there must be an important benefit to this daily up and down commuting. . 第二题题目问到 Why does the professor conclude that zooplankton must derive an important benefit from diel vertical migration? 就是这题很困难，因为原文有提到这个概念的，就一句话：Remember now, zooplankton can’t swim very well, and DVM requires a lot of energy, so there must be an important benefit to this daily up and down commuting. 没听到就没了，因为後面就开始讲别的事情，没有再针对这个概念有任何补充。 . 这样的题目，之後同学练习要怎样能做对呢？可注意以下几点： 常跟同学提到，只要是音档的内容，都是出题范围，任何地方都有可能出考题，当然大部 分题目都考在「大方向」没错，但是没有说较细的地方就不能出考题。只要有讲到，就有 机会出题。这种题型，考验的是同学对於细节掌握度，能不能27+ 差别就在这了。想要让 听力分数更高，在抓到重点大纲之余，较细的东西也要能想办法掌握住。大方向、扯开话 题稍微聊到的，或是像这样一句话带过的，都能听到当然代表听力实力越强。 要能抓到较细的东西，前提应该是原本的大方向「能轻松听懂」，如果大方向听的就很吃 力，当然细的东西更难抓到。所以如果觉得自己程度还没那麽好的同学，还是建议先抓大 方向，第二次听的时候再抓较细的东西。目标是渐渐地能第一次就两个方向都抓到。 可在第二或第三次的练习中，刻意练习只抓较细的，或是扯开话题稍微聊到的部分，培养 敏感度。 Till next time, J2 --
