大家好，我是Jacob （常春藤盟校宾州大学英语教学硕士），SK2TOEFL团队实力养成班顾 问，也专精在TOEFL机经(JJ)汇总整理，所以也可以叫我J2. 同学们在平常练阅读的时候，可能会发现自己某些题型较弱，或是固定错某些题型，会想 要专注某题型单独来练习，但J2认为，有些题型，可能不太适合。 . 先说说最最最适合单独做的题型，那当然就是字汇题了。原因在之前文章有提过，可以看 这里： https://reurl.cc/mZZdkW . 简单来说，就是比较不受上下文影响，就考你这个单字懂不懂，所以适合单独分开来做。 . 另外除了单字题外，也相对适合分题型练习的有： 1) 句子简化 sentence simplification 2) 插入句 sentence insertion . 1) 句子简化就只考单句，虽然偶尔有可能因为前面句子或段落没读到可能会影响理解，但相 对来说影响不大。 2) 插入句如果四个选项（待插入位置）都出现在同一段，也是影响不大，但如果有些题其中 一个选项可能在上一段最後，在没看过上一段前面的内容时，有可能会影响答题。 . 尽管如此，上面的这两个题型，还是相对适合分题型做的。 . 其他的题型，J2认为，单独抓题型来做，影响会较大，所以同学在练习时要斟酌一下。 以TPO15-3 Glacier Formation为例，旧制14题里面的第五题是except 题，出自第二 段，同学可以试着做看看。 . Glaciers are open systems, with snow as the system's input and meltwater as the system's main output. The glacial system is governed by two basic climatic variables: precipitation and temperature. For a glacier to grow or maintain its mass, there must be sufficient snowfall to match or exceed the annual loss through melting, evaporation, and calving, which occurs when the glacier loses solid chunks as icebergs to the sea or to large lakes. If summer temperatures are high for too long, then all the snowfall from the previous winter will melt. Surplus snowfall is essential for a glacier to develop. A surplus allows snow to accumulate and for the pressure of snow accumulated over the years to transform buried snow into glacial ice with a depth great enough for the ice to flow. Glaciers are sometimes classified by temperature as faster-flowing temperate glaciers or as slower-flowing polar glaciers. . According to paragraph 2, surplus snow affects a glacier in all the following ways EXCEPT: A.It provides the pressure needed to cause glacial ice to flow. B.It offsets losses of ice due to melting, evaporation, and calving. C.It brings about the formation of firn in the snow it buries. D.It results in temperate glaciers that are thicker than polar glaciers. 正确答案是D，虽然这里是不需要第一段的资讯没错，但应该会觉得C选项突然出现firn这 个字很奇怪，因为是第一段才有解释到的。 . 我常跟同学说，事实信息题、except题、imply题这三种题型对我来说都是同一种题型， 因为其实都在考你文章到底有没有看懂，只要能看懂，管他出的是事实信息题、except题 ，或是要推论的imply题，理论上都能做对。所以也提醒同学，有时候题目做错了，要再 更追根究底确定错的原因是什麽，很多时候，不是只是「因爲except题错了，所以要多做 except题」这麽简单。 . 仔细找出这题错的原因是不是因为根本某个句子、甚至某个单字理解错误，导致无法选出 正确答案？或是确定文章看懂了，但选项又误会意思了，所以还是选错？正常来说，每题 错的原因都不太一样，找出真正的原因，才不会分数一直卡住，感觉迟迟无法进步喔！ .
