本文很硬，都是逻辑， 如果你希望用有逻辑的方法回答口说一二题，不希望乱掰赌分数，再往下看～ 大家好，我是SK2 TOEFL 的冲刺班口说顾问David ， 正值暑假，许多同学正认真准备托福，希望九月十月就考到高分， 之後就可以专心准备申请文件，这是聪明的作法， 然而托福口说越来越难，甚至很多独立写作专属的「目的」、「态度」题也流过来了， 本篇就来讨论一下，如何有逻辑的回答口说一二题「目的」、「态度」题， 希望给同学一个清晰的观念：要如何回答这类难题，才能切题， 在其他人都只能乱讲一通时，你言之有物。 以下： 口说一二题也好、独立写作也好，许多题目，有「目的」、「态度」；在审题想点时， 除了抓出WHO 之外，也需要优先确认「目的」、「态度」，并优先处理。 何谓「目的」、「态度」？ ＊「目的」许多时候会以”in order to V.” 或是”to V.“ 的形式出现 ＊「态度」许多时候是形容词，如”efficient”, “important”, “easier”等等。 （至於”better” ，只是「程度」，不算态度，就不需特别去定义）如： Which do you think is better for the university? To build a library, or to build a gym? 我们以这题来说明： “Agree or disagree? For students, studying in groups is more efficient than studying alone.” 以这题而言，应该首先注意到「态度」的”efficient”。 在理由句，首先去定义什麽叫做”efficient”， 再来解释学生”studying in groups” 还是”studying alone” 比较好。 理由句＋关联句示范如下： Because to study more efficiently, students need to get their questions answered quickly, and studying in groups usually allow them to receive answers immediately. 为什麽需要先定义「目的」、「态度」？试比较下面两个题目： 1. Agree or disagree? Students should study in groups rather than study alone. 2. A/D? Students can get better grades by studying in groups than studying alone. 发现了吗？第二题很明确的规定了「目的」是”get better grades”， 所以需要先去思考对於学生而言，”get better grades” 需要的是什麽—— 可能是completely understand the material, solve all the problems ，或是review regularly， 接着，再回到题目的WHO 来选择答案。相对的，如果说： Because students are lazy, and if they study in groups, they can save a lot of efforts. 那就离题了—— 因为题目的「目的」，也就是「规定的结果」是”get better grades”， 而不是「怎麽样对学生来说是好的」。 如果你还是想要从WHO 出发，记得在关联句後面加上 ”and at the same time, get better grades”，拉回去切题。 我们来看看另外一题，也是有「态度／目的」的： Agree or disagree? Parents should not allow their children to participate in any forms of sports (football, basketball, ice hockey, etc.) in order to protect them from injuries. 这题需要优先处理的，是「目的」的”in order to protect them from injuries” 如果能先想到，”in order to protect them from injuries”需要的是什麽—— 例如”to understand their bodies well“， 那就能很轻松的选边，并且讲出清楚的理由＋关联句： Because, in order to protect children from injuries, parents should make sure children understand their bodies well, BUT if parents don’t allow children to participate in sports, children will not learn how their bodies work. 如果这样的结构、句子对你来说太长（理由＋关联句讲完，最好不要超过20秒！）， 也可以使用上面提到的第二种方法： Because children are naive, and if parents allow their children to participate in sports, children will make stupid mistakes, and therefore get injured. 以上，希望看完的同学能多去练习此类题目， 让你在考试遇到时，不会惊慌失措， 因知道自己能切中要旨，而能稳稳答题。 另，近期许多同学出分後，有是否要复查的问题， 建议可以先搜寻板上我关於「复查」的文章， 便可以更清楚地知道自己是否要赌一把！ 大家加油～～ ～SK2 David -- SK2 David. iBT 118, R29/L29/S30/W30 SK2 TOEFL Consultant Group. http://SK2toefl.blogspot.com --
