这里是否应该为whom较为适切，因为是关代受词的用法

此处的the people应该是指被民众所参观的人较为适切?
而they指的是参观博物馆的民众
还原：how the people (whom they are visiting) view themselves and the world.

laurelami 大大的还原意思上并没有错，但似乎把句子的主要子句跟形容词子句作了调动
如果直接以"受词关代省略"来还原句子，便可明白其意。
一点浅见，望各位大大不吝赐教和纠正，谢谢。
