我的想法是
which指代前面的remains(of後面那一串是修饰remains)
本来应该是写成
which the soil serves for
文法上介系词好像不能掉句尾
所以提前到关代也就是这里的which前面
这是自己考AT的心得啦
不敢保证对，有错烦请指正了^^
