简单之介绍
The German Army (called Bundeswehr) uses a special camouflage for their
battledresses called " Flecktarn". Until the late 70s the Bundeswehr used a
solid olive-grey uniform but started to develope a number of prototype
camouflage patterns, to replace them. They chose a pattern which is today
known as Flecktarn. The word is a composite formed from the German words
Fleck (spot or blot) and Tarn which means camouflage. In Germany the
Flecktarn camouflage pattern is used by the army, the air force and the
medical service. It is also used by snipers of the Federal Army of Austria
and the Belgian Air Component ground personnel and airborne infantry. France
tested Flecktarn for use but rejected it; the Dutch army also tested and
rejected it, because it was 'too aggressive'. (Flecktarn was seen as
controversial because of its (vague) resemblance to the Waffen SS "peas" and
"oak leaves" patterns, which also used dots in various colours). But
Flecktarn now is the basis for Bundeswehr Wustentarn (desert camouflage),
Danish T/78 camouflage and Danish M/84 camouflage. A copy of the Flecktarn
camouflage is even used by the Chinese military in Tibet (although the
colours differ a bit).
