偷泥代po 撰写 by Caroline(一个台大中文的交换学生) ================== Caroline 的英文冲浪心得 =============================== The first time I went surfing was in Bali, and when I found out that my roommate had signed up for the PTT Surfing trip I was really excited for the chance to go surfing again. I had an amazing time getting to know fellow NTU students with similar interest. Our skill levels ranged from beginner to experienced so no one felt ridiculous. There were plenty of people trying surfing for the first time and we all got to learn the basic together. At the same time there were students with more familiarity with the sport and instructors to help give us a hand when we needed help. The shop was in a great location, easy to get to and a 2 minute walk from an ideal site on the beach. There is amble parking located on the left side of the shop for vehicles and the equipment that we used was in good condition and they had boards that varied in shape and size to accommodate all skill levels. Behind the shop were showers equipped with both warm and cold water for rising off and washing down your equipment. We started off getting a lesson from one of the instructors on proper paddling technique, how to position our bodies on the board and how to stand on the board. After a quick lesson we got to practice the techniques on the beach before getting into the water. There the instructors could fix our stance and give us advice on what works best. Once in the water the instructors continue to help us in numerous ways. In the beginning while we were still getting used to paddling they would push our surfboards to help give us enough speed to catch waves, and as we began to improve they would helped us pick which waves were best. They were positive and encouraging all day even when the rest of us started to get tired. There is no question surfing is a sport that requires time and patients to develop but it is an amazing way to get out on the ocean and have a good time with friends while learning to mastering a new skill. ============================================================================ --
