Suppose that X and Y have a discrete joint distribution for which the joint
p.f. is
de_ned as follows:
f(x; y) = 1/30(x + y) for x = 0; 1; 2 and y = 0; 1; 2; 3;
0 otherwise
a) Determine the marginal p.f. of X and Y. Also determine the conditional
p.f. of Ygiven X. [5 pts]
b) Compute P(Y │X = 1). [5 pts]
c) Compute E(Y │X = 1), E(Y │X = x), and E(Y ). [5 pts]
想请问高手
我之前有的作业有做过 continuous ditribution 也就是 X Y的分布是有区间的
现在这个题目 XY的数值是 discrete
解题方式有何不同呢?
